United States of Bourbon Part III

Gah, it’s October. I should have known that August/September wouldn’t be terribly productive for the blog. School. Homework. Piano. Soccer. PTO stuff. Field trips. Oh and I mustn’t forget – I got roped into co-chairing Adult Prom!

At home there’s new house projects and baby watch for my work-wife Julie. We also successfully relaunched Happy Hour with a few like-minded families. 

The Big has kept me busy too – she had a minor health scare and handled it like a champ, not even missing a bit of planning or prep for her 9th birthday bash.

Birthday Month

Just one of many Birthday Cocktails

I know, I know. This is supposed to be my second state bourbon post. I’m working on it, I swear. Finding local whiskeys is hard! I’ve already written about my own region and unless I’m traveling, it’s hard to find something from further away. Plus I’ve more research (read: drinking!) to do before I can actually finish the post. I still have one to open, and frankly I’m a little scared of it. Without giving away too much, I think this state has way better to offer, if I could just find it!
