Every now and then, the stars align. By that I mean, I have my shit (sorta) together on the home/mom front, and, with the girls in school I can sneak off to the city for a day. It’s not often mind you; probably a handful of times across the school year. United States of Bourbon Part III

Gah, it’s October. I should have known that August/September wouldn’t be terribly productive for the blog. School. Homework. Piano. Soccer. PTO stuff. Field trips. Oh and I mustn’t forget – I got roped into co-chairing Adult Prom!

At home there’s new house projects and baby watch for my work-wife Julie. We also successfully relaunched Happy Hour with a few like-minded families. 

The Big has kept me busy too – she had a minor health scare and handled it like a champ, not even missing a bit of planning or prep for her 9th birthday bash.
